Just off 30A in the mellow beach burb of Grayton lies an intriguing hot spot.
To loyal fans, the Hibiscus Coffee and Guest House is a place to gather, share a meal or be entertained. In 1994, owners Kurt and Barbara Tape opened the original vegetarian café with four guest rooms upstairs. Innkeeper and part owner Cheri Peebles, the established face in the community, came on board three years later.
Set behind the business corner of Defuniak Street and 30A are three main buildings that house the café and 12 distinct guest rooms designed in eclectic Old Florida style.
