Frequently Asked Questions

Is breakfast included with our stay?
Yes. We provide breakfast from 7:30 to 11:30 inside our Café.

Are your rooms pet friendly?
We have 3 rooms that are pet friendly. They can accommodate up to 2 dogs, and we charge a $40.00 per animal pet fee. Our pet friendly rooms are the Art Deco Room, Flat Three and Funky Bird. (Weight limit 50 lbs)

*If we have any issues with guest complaints on animals causing a disturbance, we reserve the right to ask you to handle the situation ASAP or vacate the premises*

Can we check in early?
Because we may need to clean your room before you arrive, check in time is normally 3:00 pm. However if you call our office the day before, and no one is occupying the room, we can allow you to check in early.

Can we have a late check out?
Because we may need to get the room ready for another guest, normal check out time is 11:00 am. However, if you check with us the day you are leaving, and no one is coming into the room, we will be able allow check out as late as 12:00pm.

Does my room have kitchen amenities?
Yes. All rooms come with a mini fridge, a microwave and a coffee pot with coffee. In addition, the Old Florida and Funky Bird rooms have kitchenettes with counter space and sink for food prep, the Romance and Tropical Bird rooms share a common area with a full kitchen and the Flats each have a full kitchen of their own.

I am bringing my children,  Do you have a room suitable for them?
Yes! We do have rooms suitable for children. We offer two one bedroom apartments, Flat Three and Flat Four, which can sleep four guests, the Art Deco and Hibiscus rooms each have a roll away cot that can accommodate a third guest, and the Romance room and Tropical Bird room both have sofa sleepers in living areas for your 3rd guest.

How far away is the beach from are you located?
About 1/2 a mile; a little less than a 10 minute walk or 2 minutes by bicycle.

Do you offer maid services during our stay?
Yes. We try to be environmentally friendly, so we do not automatically wash your room’s towels and linens during your stay, nor do we want to enter your room unless you ask. But we do provide a tidy-up service. There is door hanger in each room. Just hang it outside your door, tidy side out and housekeeping will be happy to bring you fresh towels, extra toiletries and do a quick sweep. (Gratuity is appreciated)

Is there WiFi AND ice on the property?
Yes, we do offer WiFi. The Barn building connects to BertsBarn, the Cafe building connects to Cafe, the Cottage connects to either and the Flat building connects to Flats. The ice machine is under the stairs at Berts Barn.

What are your office hours?
Our office is open in the morning from 9:30am to 11:00am and in the afternoon from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Where should I park my vehicle?
In the rear parking lot. There is plenty of space. (WE PREFER YOU DO NOT PARK IN OUR CAFE LOT)

Do you offer beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas for your guests?
We offer towels for your use (and purchase). We always put two in your room before you arrive, and if you need to switch them out, you can do so. While we do not offer beach chairs or umbrellas, we can refer you to some local businesses that do.

Do you offer bikes for your guests?
No, we do not personally offer bikes, however there are three bike rental services nearby and we would be happy to direct you. (Most will offer a discount for our patrons)

What types of payment do you accept?
Cash, CC and Hibiscus Coffee & Guesthouse Gift Certificate.

Do you offer a military or AARP Discount?
Not officially.

Do you offer shuttle services to and from the Airport?
No, we do not, however, you can always use Emerald Coast Taxi or Sunshine Shuttle.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP ROOM KEYS ON YOU AT ALL TIMES. LOST, MISPLACED OR STOLEN KEYS WILL BE A 10.00 CHARGE………….
